Turn Around/Outage Schedules

HOW TO: INCORPORATE TURNAROUND SCHEDULES IN SCHEDULEPRO FOR UPCOMING OUTAGES

Turnaround schedules can be incorporated by changing the effective dates of an employee's current shift pattern, then adding a temporary turnaround shift pattern for the relevant date range.

To do this:

(1) Create a brand new shift pattern template that reflects the turnaround schedule

(2) Go to the 'Shift Patterns' tab for the employee in question

(3) Change the effective end date of their current pattern to the day before the turnaround period

(4) Click 'Import from Template Library' and assign the the turnaround template, setting the effective dates to the start/end of the turnaround period

(5) Assign them to their regular pattern again, with the effective start date beginning on the day after the turnaround period

Make sure to double check the rotation start date of the re-assigned regular pattern ensuring it aligns with their initial pattern.

Turnaround Checklist:

- Make sure that your employees are on the correct job code - ensure they're on a turnaround job code

- Make sure you have turnaround groups setup, and that the dates for your turnaround period are set in SchedulePro

- If you are still getting rule violations, you can remove any additional shifts via the Schedule view

If you’re not in the Oil and Gas industry, but as you read this you realize “My organization has a ‘normal’ operating mode and a ‘not-normal’ mode with different rules”, let us know! We can find a way to work together and build a custom rule set for you that will let you easily apply the right rules at the right time.
