Volunteer for OT Setup
SchedulePro can be configured to allow employees to volunteer for overtime. The most common setup is to allow employees to choose shifts and dates they are willing to accept overtime shifts. Once enabled, schedulers can choose from a list of volunteers for open requirements instead of relying on calling people in.
Configuration is necessary to enable volunteering, so you will need to work with a member of the Customer Success team if your organization is not currently using this feature. Please reach out to Support for more information.
Shift Volunteering
The standard model of volunteering for overtime is to allow employees to choose specific shifts and which days to volunteer for.
Once volunteering is enabled, you can configure shifts for volunteering by going through the following steps.
- Go to Manage Overtime from the Home page.
- Select Setup Eligible Overtime Volunteer Shifts
- Choose the Primary Hourly Type to determine which employees can view the selected shifts.
- Check the shifts those employees should see on working and non-working days, then hit Save.
- Repeat for the other hourly types, then select Return to Previous Screen when finished.
- Your employees will now be able to select those shifts to volunteer for.
