Codes
Codes are the short, descriptive labels you give to your positions, locations, shift types, employee teams, and more.
How to get there:
Settings > Codes
Codes are useful because they store a lot of information in a small package. Creating your position codes, for instance, is different from just entering the names of your various job titles. Of course all codes have a name (and description), but most of them also have all the configuration options included right there in the code set-up itself. So you can think of creating a code as the naming and configuration steps rolled into one.
The codes available in SchedulePro are:
- Shift Codes
- Leave Codes
- Position Codes
- Location Codes
- Refusal Codes
- Skill Codes
- Break Codes
- Task Codes
- Team Codes
- Work Reason Codes
The three core codes are shift, position and location codes. These are the codes that go into your Daily Core Staffing Requirements and Shift Patterns, which are necessary to build a working schedule.
